Card Fraud Protection

Most Radio-frequency identification (RFID) cards, such as bank cards, are capable of storing sensitive information about us that can be easily accessed without our knowledge.

Scammers, thieves and fraudsters are using increasingly sophisticated techniques to steal this information from our bank and ID cards. Their aim is gain financially from our bank cards or, possibly worse, by stealing our private identification details.

It is possible to access certain card information from almost half a metre away using small electronic devices that the scammer will carry.

Contactless or ‘tap and pay’ cards do not need a pin number. Instead, they have a tiny antenna that links with a till terminal through near-field communication, or NFC. A scammer can utilise the antenna to try and gain access to the cards information.

We have a range of products to help prevent contactless card fraud.
